In 2012, I began working with journalist organizations and projects that were creating an impact on shaping opinion and affecting policy. I worked for 3 years in the editorial team of the award winning magazine Etiqueta Negra Magazine. Etiqueta Negra was an institution and a training space for me that allowed me to build new platforms, stories and work with artists, editors and photographers around the world. In 2016, I co-founded the website Malquerida, an award-winning virtual journalism project that empowers Peruvian women to share their stories and research. I spent four years as the coordinator selecting the most compelling works and curating the brand to appeal to diverse audiences.

Malquerida is an alternative and safe space for non-patriarchal narratives, empowering women and minorities, and challenging the state of affairs in Spanish speaking media. We have had a lot of his-tory in traditional media. It is time for her-story.

Malquerida

Malquerida is an innovative digital platform; written, produced, edited, and illustrated entirely by women. This digital platform provides guidance and a dedicated editorial approach from a gender perspective.
